The Straight Paths of the Lord Day 5

Day 5: Passing the Torch

God's paths, while sometimes mysterious, are always straight and purposeful. Through Paul and Barnabas's missionary journey, we learn that God provides divine wisdom, draws people to seek Him, and maintains His purpose despite opposition. He guides believers to find common ground with others and plan strategically for future ministry. When following God's direction, some people will seek His truth, while others will oppose it. Yet His perfect plan prevails, working through both acceptance and resistance to accomplish His purposes.

Watch Sermon HERE.

God's work doesn't end with us - it continues through those we mentor and equip. Just as Paul invested in Timothy and John Mark, we're called to think strategically about preparing the next generation to carry on God's work. This isn't just about passing on information; it's about investing in relationships that will multiply the impact of God's kingdom. Whether it's mentoring someone younger in faith, sharing our experiences, or simply being available to answer questions, we all have a role in equipping others to continue on God's straight path. When we invest in others, we participate in God's ongoing story that extends far beyond our own time.

"and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also." - 2 Timothy 2:2

Who has God placed in your life that you could mentor or encourage in their faith journey?

From day to day and from week to week,
we must think strategically about equipping the next generation
to continue on the straight paths of the Lord when our time is done.
– Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer

Father, show me who I should be investing in and equipping for Your work. Help me be faithful in passing on what You've taught me. Amen.
