Day 3: The Power of Resurrection

Find Sunday’s Sermon HERE

The human heart universally longs for forgiveness, cleansing, and justification - needs that can't be satisfied through worldly success or achievements. The resurrection of Jesus proves His death was sufficient payment for our sins, offering complete forgiveness through faith rather than personal merit. This transformative truth invites us to stop trying to prove our worth through achievements and instead receive God's acceptance as a gift through trusting in Christ. True belief goes beyond intellectual agreement to complete trust in Jesus, resulting in perfect standing before God.

Devotional

Hope changes everything. Without it, we're left trying to prove our worth through achievements, relationships, or moral behavior. But with the resurrection of Jesus, everything changes. His rising from the dead wasn't just a historical event - it was God's declaration that Jesus' sacrifice was enough. Enough to cover our guilt. Enough to remove our shame. Enough to give us the acceptance we've been searching for all along. We no longer need to exhaust ourselves trying to prove our worth because Jesus has already proven our infinite value through His death and resurrection.

And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.
- 1 Corinthians 15:17

Reflection Question How does knowing that Jesus' resurrection was God's stamp of approval on His sacrifice change the way you view your own worth and acceptance?

The resurrection is proof that the price Jesus paid on the cross was sufficient.
It was enough.
~ Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for Your resurrection that proves Your sacrifice was enough. Help me to live in the freedom of knowing I don't have to prove my worth. Amen.
